Milestone 3.3: Ledger App integration tests and javascript library #12
Comments
Hi guys. Please get this sorted ... I got all my CFGs stuck on my ledger. Thank you. |
Is there any update on the progress? What are the blockers? |
Pretty much everything is ready apart from the chain itself and everything that should test this stuff once it's on-chain. |
Sorry, I'm not a developer... what does this mean? what do you mean with "apart from the chain itself"? thank you |
In terms of completion, the primary dependency is the RFC linked above being accepted by the Fellowship and the spec being implemented by way of a runtime upgrade. Acceptance of the spec will unlock the next step: ledger app audit. |
Hello guys, do you knwo why the process is in stand by? It's possible to have some news? Best Regards |
Hey @groutt85170, the project is not in standby. Please find the latest update here: https://forum.polkadot.network/t/polkadot-generic-ledger-app/4295/11 There are multiple teams working exceptionally hard on this and the app is effectively ready for audit. Completion is primarily dependent on acceptance of the RFC by the Fellowship. |
Hey @richcsy, thanks for your answer, sorry but i don't know what is the "RFC by the Fellowship", have a nice day |
@groutt85170 the RFC is the the technical specification for the implementation of the change required on Polkadot (Kusama, and any other Substrate chain that will use the app). That will enable the new app on your ledger device to work with Polkadot and Parachains (once they implement the change in their runtimes also). The Polkadot Fellowship is the decentralised body that is responsible for approving and implementing the change on Polkadot (and Kusama). |
Hey guys! i dont want to be a burden. is there a dead line for this project? thanks for the reply |
Hey @serratleandro, it depends on the timing / release cycles of the different components and integrations, however, most of it is done so we are expecting a launch somewhere between May and the first week of June. |
What is the eta? What is the current blocker? |
Hey @darkfriend77,
We will be reaching out to Parachains soon to inform you as to the steps that need to be taken in order to prepare your parachains for use with the app. |
As a parachain team, we would like to know what we have to do to enable this asap, is there something we can prepare already? |
