This double-edged may be the flexibility, in fact, it may be one side in a higher dimension (elephant metaphor). Following is example: If I were to ask what regulatory function is, I would describe the mechanism of prior distribution during Bayesian update. Ultimately, the prior distribution function is a regulator, but this goal can be achieved via both addition and subtraction. Depending on the data, the prior can either inject heterogeneity through a diffuse prior or remove homogeneity by excluding extreme conditions. The art of unifying seemingly opposite functions as one consistent frame is a key to a generic testing tool. |
