Unexpected response repetition

I have no clue why this is happening just yet and from the looks of it Claude either doesn't know why its happening or that it's happening. If I discover something I will update.

I am having this issue as well. Haven't been able to figure out a way to stop the repetition. It did coincidentally seem to start happening while Anthropic API workbench was down/unavailable today, if that is helpful at all. Repeats happening in both terminal and pycharm, as AlexJ mentioned, Claude is unaware/unable to fix even when shown images of the repetition.

Current Status:

• Troubleshooting: I spent an hour last night using terminal, VS Code, and PyCharm. As anticipated all three rendered the same result.
• Review of Repo: I was unable to identify any issue in any of the files in the repo… Of which there are few.
• Escalating the Issue: I am going to contact Anthropic CS. With any luck this is a known issue that has recently sprung up and they are already on top of it. I started to go down that path last night, but ran out of steam trying to identify the appropriate CS contact. As soon as I am done posting I will complete this task. I will update this thread with their reply.

Today’s plan:

• Troubleshooting: As of now the only idea that I have is to truncate the prompt. Obviously its not a problem for most; therefore, I don’t expect any progress from this, but it is the only thing that I can think to do at the moment.
• Next Steps: As is typical for me, I will probably think of other stuff to try while working on the above. Sometimes when I move my feet, my head follows. If I find anything I will update this thread.

PS- I don’t typically do this, but since I am already typing I figured what the hell. Pietro, I am very impressed with how efficient this framework is and I continue to be very impressed with the stuff you put out. Seeing your enthusiasm and hearing you talk about your creative approach to what you do on David Ondrej’s YT channel has inspired me at a providential moment. So, thank you and David.

Unfortunately, it appears to still be affecting me. I have asked it to accomplish a simple task (to create a folder in root). It repeated the initial response after the yellow and green tool used, too input, tool result section.

• I am running this on Windows 11 in a Conda env via terminal. I have already tested it in PyCharm and VS Code, both in a Conda env, and they replicate the error.

• I have tried complex multi-step prompts and simple prompts. The issue occurs in both cases.

• I am going to create a python env instead of the Conda env just so I can rule it out.

Not knowing what you changed its hard for me to decide next moves, but I will see what comes to mind

It is affecting me as well. I pulled in fresh code this afternoon. see screenshot. running using venv on macOS with apple M1 Pro.
