chrome-extension-boilerplate

Simple Chrome extension project with TypeScript setup and example of how to invoke a content script.

Building

Software you will need installed on your computer: NodeJS. The first time you will want to install node modules by running npm i in the terminal. Build output will be put into a new out folder.

Windows

Run npm rum build command in the command line while pointing to the project folder.

MacOS/Linux

Run npm rum iBuild command in the terminal while pointing to the project folder.

Installing

  • Open chrome://extensions/
  • Enable developer mode
  • Click Load unpacked
  • Select out folder of the extension project
