少し込み入った(不規則な部分の多い)正書法は、地図にも駅名にもしばしば現れるため考察が必要。

ラテン文字はもともとラテン語を書くための文字だったが、それをなんとか少々の無理をして受容して英語を書いている
英語の綴りと発音の関係のうち、向こうの想地さんに見えるのは「大母音推移とマジック e」(cf. gateway) や「r の前の母音」(cf. airport) が主となるだろう
