Raw html showing when using 2022050300 on Moodle 3.11.4+ 20211123

It came to my attention that we're experiencing an issue with the tabs plugin.
When using the familiar {%:XXX}...{%} construct to show tabs and text, the text is no longer formatted but it is displayed in raw html.
We are using Tabs version 2022050300 on Moodle 3.11.4+ 20211123
Can you advise a solution?

Same problem. I'm using tabs 4.0.0 (2022041301) with Moodle 3.9.7+ (20210520).

The updated version for Moodle 3.2 (v3.5-r3, 2022041103) works for Moodle 3.9.7.

Latest version (at leas for us in previous moodle) breaks the rendering of the tabs, the {%:XX|...{X} is not shown, but the tabs are not rendered. I saw quite some changes in the new version commit, some re-arranging across the whole project, hard for me tell where the break could be.
