chrome not detecting ledger nano s

i am working with chrome browser on ubuntu. After installing the extension and pluging in my device, the extension does not respond. please help

Have you registered the udev rules as mentioned in that article?

Hello I am coming here with the same issue. I have registered the udev rules in Linux and still have this issue. I can also confirm that I am having this issue with the Ledger Ethereum app on Windows. I just downloaded the app on both OSes two days ago.

EDIT 27.11.17: I am now able to access the Ledger Chrome Ethereum wallet with my Ledger Nano S. The only thing special I can tell that I did was I uninstalled and then reinstalled it.
