Since I haven't found a issue tracking it, I though I would make one. In here, I encourage putting any updates on fix development, just so that it would be easier for others to track updates on this problem specifically in Ondsel.

The issue is being addressed in upstream FreeCAD and Ondsel is participating there. The problem you linked to FreeCAD#8432 is the main tracking issue.
Closing the issue here so we don't duplicate effort or split the discussion.
