Open source mentors provide student fellows first hand open source experience through working on ProgramEquity’s project Amplify via pair hours, career-related and technical workshops, and content labs

This might be for you if you ...
- Have patience for folks from extensive backgrounds learning curve around open source and webapps
- Enjoy or would like to expand your knowledge of VueJS
- Would like to contribute to open source projects impacting sustainability from an advocacy perspective
Mentors run 10 week long sessions for MLH Fellows with weekly Workshops on various engineering topics and Pair Hours where students work with mentors on the Amplify app
We look for 10-12 people to be mentors for Pair Hours and 25-35 people to present workshops for each 10 week cohort.
💻 Pair Hours: weekly sessions for an hour to help students review code or resolve bugs and good first issues/batch issues | 🍎 Workshops: a 30-45 minute presentation with an interactive review or q&a |

- Sign up and reference the workshop or pair hour in the google form. (You’re welcome to submit a workshop you didn’t see listed)
- (1-2 hours) You’ll be added to our #advocats-enablement channel to coordinate content and presentation partners.
- (30 mins) Schedule with DRI to finalize content async or via dress rehearsal
- (60 mins) Present day of to students
