Even though stacked bar charts give a clear indication that the bars sum up to 100% they make it difficult to compare the values for the bars that are not at the edges of the chart. Try creating a small multiples version of a stacked bars chart with normal bar charts glued to each other and bars ordered by their magnitude and coloured according to sector.
