This fixes an error that was otherwise occurring when running one of the advanced installation options against an existing server.

LGTM 🏷️

I have a fix that makes sure it's populated correctly for the existing server path in a branch for a separate feature. I think it makes sense to land this in the meantime to stop the hurt.
