This is the wiki for the form plugin, which was built for Archi, the free Archimate Tool. The wiki provides more detailed information about how to use the form plugin.

The plugin allows you to view and edit an element's properties through a form template in order to ease mass element configuration. I.e., you can view and edit 50 elements in the same location instead of navigating to them individually and changing their properties.

Key functionalities

  • This plugin uses configuration files to configure the appearance and content of the forms (e.g. if you want a different form, you need to create a new configuration file)
  • No programming experience is needed to create the forms, just edit the configuration file using the WYSIWYG editor in the plugin preferences page (select the graphical editor button) or by editing the configuration file (JSON).
  • Forms are divided into tabs by model data type (all the relationships are in one tab, all the elements are in one tab, etc.). This can be changed though, tab are customizable.
  • Forms are run by right-clicking on any Archi component and then selecting the name of the form you created in the context menu.
  • Form results can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet
