Welcome to CNCF Project Onboarding!

This is an issue created to help onboard your project into the CNCF after the TOC has voted to accept your project into the Sandbox.

We would like your project to complete onboarding within one month of acceptance.

Please track your progress by using "Quote reply" to create your own copy of this checklist in an issue, so that you can update the status as you finish items.

CNCF staff tasks

  • Add the project to DevStats.
  • Add the project to LFX Insights. This is done by adding a read-only app to your GitHub organization once it's in CNCF GHE.
  • Add a license scanning tool, like FOSSA or Snyk.
  • Send a welcome email to confirm maintainer list access.

@Cmierly
Does this mean create a new issue in this repo,
or a new issue in one of the repos of the project being onboarded?

@david-martin Since only those on the CNCF side can update the official checklist in this issue ticket, you can quote reply the checklist within this comment section so you can check off and track things on your end. No need to create a new issue!

Thanks @krook
I had a chat with @jasonmadigan offline and we'll accept this likely next week after further awareness on our community call, and being prepared in case of any issues during the transition

Sounds good @david-martin. You can also Book time with CNCF staff for any onboarding questions on this or other topics.

Hi @david-martin

I setup the static code checker services for 3rd-party library license compliace, you can choose to make use of either the CNCF instances of FOSSA or Snyk (or both if you want to evaluate them)

Feel free to reach out to me on CNCF Slack or let me know here.

Myself and @david-martin met today to start the process of setting up FOSSA for Kuadrant, task setup is pretty much complete so we can call this done.

I invited all the Kuadrant maintainers to the CNCF FOSSA, David accepted the invite imediately, I added them to the newly created team.

David then went on to import a first project and I can see now that the following repos have been added to Kuadrant team authorino
authorino-operator, dns-operator, kuadrant-operator, limitador, limitador-operator, wasm-shim.

Great to meet you today @david-martin! Reach out to me with any questions regarding this or any other task on the list and I will assist or escalate as needed.

Thanks for the help on setting up FOSSA @RobertKielty.
I've add all the main repositories as projects to FOSSA.
Things look to be working, with reports & issues already being generated.

Thanks @Cmierly for sending the notification about trademark transfer agreement being signed by CNCF and Red Hat. I think this can be marked as completed.
