Low resolution on HiDPi monitor

I'm using this on a 4K monitor and it looks like most of the UI, apart from buttons and editable text, is rendered at half resolution. A screenshot of the issue is below:

While this is still an issue, I think it's no longer important since there are alternative UIs which don't have scaling issues.

I tried one of the alternative UIs, and it has other issues. I believe it would be good to have a stable basic, well functioning UI.

Other UI issues I see atm:

The placeholder text remains behind the selected content, making it hard to read, esp. when zooming out a little. That is true for all menu select inputs like checkpoint loader etc.
