Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, our local registry and project containers create directories that our bound to respective containers.

Describe the solution you'd like
We should introduce a config option that allows users to choose named volumes instead.

Additional context
This change would require that this config option is sent to providers as well because they are the ones provisioning resources for projects.
