Description

Sometimes when I boot up my system the Element Desktop's icon in system tray doesn't show up correctly. If I restart the application, the icon is correctly displayed.

NOTE: I see there's a similar bug here: element-hq/element-web#16760, but in my situation the icon isn't the correct one, so I don't know if creating a new issue was the most adequate. Feel free to orient me.

Steps to reproduce

  • Boot up the system
  • Launch Element Desktop (via Autostart. Command: /usr/bin/element-desktop %u)
  • Check system tray

I would expect to always see the correct Element Desktop's system tray icon.

Wait I didn't add that label. Is it automatic?

Same here, Element Desktop 1.7.25, Ubuntu 20.04, KDE Frameworks 5.68.0. The familiar Element icon is shown after starting Element, but changes to the one shown above after some time. This one also doesn't show any hint for new messages (the little red number).

Quick update: I can now also say that the icon changes as soon as the first message arrives and it should show the number of unread messages.
