Prerequisites

  • [✅] Have you reviewed the steps in the following link to see if they address your issue?

Describe the bug

  • Kindle Scribe (which for reasons unknown uses MTP) has a folder (/system/thumbnails) which typically has thousands of JPG files (currently mine has around 4400).
  • When browsing to this folder with OpenMTP, the session is closed with an error.
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting cable restores connection, OpenMTP opens to /system/thumbnails folder, but only displays 1575 items (1571 files and 4 folders).

Attaching log files and dump of file tree (using libmtp command line).

Cannot reproduce with 3.2.23. Would the changes since 3.2.20 have fixed this? If so, then this can be closed. It might be good to have a test for this condition to check for any regression in future releases.
