Why

A re-spin of the sanchonet network was done and the network is now compatible with Cardano node 9.0.0. We want the testing-sanchonet network to be upgraded and re-spun.

What

Upgrade the testing-sanchonet network to support the re-spin of the sanchonet network.

How

  • Test new version 9.0.0 in the e2e test and in the CI
  • Update the infrastructure for re-spin:
    • Update Cardano configurations in infra
    • Update the CARDANO_NODE_VERSION in the GitHub environment variables
    • Update the networks.json file in the repository
  • Setup era transactions (with this runbook)
  • Recreate SPO (with his guide)
  • Re-genesis the network:
    • 1 epoch after creation of SPO, it will be registered in the stake distribution
    • 1 epoch after registration, genesis certificate can be created
    • 1 epoch after genesis certificate creation, the signer will be able to sign
