It looks like certain file systems do not allow rsync or gcp to preserve Date created/ Date modified. This is most likely not an issue with any of the tools, it might just be how these file system exchanges work. Just flagging it in case there is a workaround.

I think this migh afect directories more than files - must look into this more.
