[NEW] User-friendly parameter specification

I think we can make the software more user-friendly by adding an option to change the default data collection / system monitoring parameters that we specify right now across different scripts. Maybe when running the tracking system, users can select an option to change these default parameters, and provide a text file that has the parameters they'd like to use. If we do this, then it would be useful to also update the Modules README to specify which default parameters we're using for the tracking system.
