Enhancement description:

  • The YouTube's 2012 layout has the old comments layout, so why not to implement it to CustomTube?
  • If you want to like, dislike, or reply to the old-school 2012 YouTube comments, then you have to hover over the comments, then like, dislike, and reply buttons appear.

And for the pagination:

  • This is NOT a planned feature! (at least at this year.)
  • Mr. lightbeam24 said, that it would be difficult to implement.
  • I don't know, but maybe inspecting the archived YouTube code would help to understand the pagination code, but maybe later. (I'm going to find an extension which restores the pagination on YouTube comments & search results.)
  • I created the petition action in Slovakia, which would NOT return this feature, because Mr. lightbeam24 said, that it would 100% not help.

I discussed about this earlier with Mr. lightbeam24, and he said, that he is going to implement it, and he is working on it.

See discussion in: #18

Sorry for off-topic, but I recently created the petition sheet (In English & Slovak languages) against the Google LLC, because of removing the pagination from the comments, and from the search results, do you want to see the English version of that petition sheet?

And, are you thinking, that the petition action would help for return of the comments pagination? Because the petition action would be only available in Slovakia (So, I don't think, that would be successful).

I'm not forcing you to add it back, but I want to force the Google LLC to add it back.

And again sorry for off-topic, but I had to say this.

I can say with 100% certainty that this will do absolutely nothing. Don't bother. If stuff like that actually worked, we would still have the old YouTube layouts officially supported by YouTube.

I never said that I wasn't going to add comments pagination back, I just said that I don't plan on even trying for at least a year or something, and that I can't guarantee that I'll be successful in implementing it.

Thank you for quick response, that's nice of you, that you are responding quickly.

I respect, that you are not planning to implement the pagination in near future.

And can you please explain how it was difficult to disable infinite scrolling as you said in issue 18?

  1. How much time you wasted with disabling infinite scrolling?
  2. It was a problem with CSS, or JavaScript, or both?
  3. It was difficult, very difficult, or near impossible?
  4. Why do you think, that pagination would be even more difficult than disabling infinite scrolling?

I'm not forcing you to respond immediately, feel free to respond at any time whenever you have time.

And tell me if I should post questions like this to discussions instead.

And sorry if I'm annoying.
