Opening this issue as a high level description of the feature set that would be required in circuit breaker to research local reputation and HTLC endorsement as a mitigation against channel jamming attacks.

If this looks okay, I'll open up individual issues for each phase with proposed design.

Phase 1: Forwarding Data Export

  • Update circuit breaker to export forwarding data
  • Timestamps as observed by the interceptor (imperfect across restarts)
  • Export raw forwarding data in CSV

Phase 2: Implement Local Reputation with Reliable Timestamps

Phase 3: Propagate Endorsement Signal
