Testing #23114

Extension version:
v2024.3.10851013
Platform: Windows

I followed the TPI steps up to the point where I create a new workspace with a Python file. In the screenshot below, the extension picks up a different Python install

Can you click the bottom right (3.11 bit) and see which interpreter appears in the placeholder? It seems there's another issue due to which status bar isn't updating.

Can you click it so it opens the select interpreter quickpick?

This seems to be working now, tested changing the pyenv version a few times and reloading with cleared cache

Ok, I suspect that the status bar did not update but the interpreter was actually selected. Feel free to reopen if you run into this again 👍

Was able to diagnose the cause of the issue, should be addressed with #23114 (comment).
