Installing specific version of extension using server --install-extension argument will auto update extension automatically #143309

  • VS Code Version: stable and from sources

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch server ./scrips/code-server --without-connection-token --install-extension=redhat.vscode-yaml@1.3.0 --start-server
  2. Open code in browser and go to extensions view
  3. 🐛 Observe redhat.vscode-yaml will be updated to version 1.4.0 automatically
