I tried on both 8.5 and 9.0, taking care to copy the game to Macintosh HD, but no luck.

Confirmed. Though, the Windows build of SheepShaver also crashes, so... that's expected.

Based on the requirements page listing "OpenGL hardware support", it's unlikely to work. Perhaps QEMU (tracked in #72) will fare better.

Sometimes, near year 2000 games still had software rendering support, but for a 2002 game, it's kind of unlikely.
