Is there any reason for requiring the tty: true option when using the Docker version? Could the container be adapted to drop that requirement?

Docker containers are mainly supposed to run headless, and enabling tty breaks existing workflows & seems overall unnecessary - is its sole purpose to display the welcome message? That could be done with regular stdout.
