When using clang-cl with sccache and using -Xclang flags, sccache fails to build

I am trying to use sccache to use cached compilation for C/C++ code. The code base I am using uses a mixture of compilers (MSVC and clang). For the clang side, there are a few clang internal flags that are being used through -Xclang. However, when sccache encounters these, it will fail to compile where as without sccache will succeed. Is there something which needs to be added to the invocation or is this something that sccache needs to be extended for?
