New Folder for a user

Hi, I am using teampass 3.1.2 and I want to understand the logic.
In our organization I have created a folder for each user associated with their names. and gave an access to them appropriately.
They also want to create a subfolder under their associated folders. But they can't. Only when I give them "can create a folder at root level" permission they can both create at root level also at associated folder level. But I want to avoid creating at root level.

When the user tries to create a subfolder I get "PHP Warning: Undefined variable $newId in /var/www/html/sources/folders.class.php on line 412, referer: https://teampass.digirella.local/index.php?page=items" log
