@heikman just showed me HoloViews today (GitHub) which looks like a scientific mpld3 on steroids.

Might be interesting for us, just wanted to share.

Nice! Here bokeh (http://bokeh.pydata.org/) is probably also worth mentioning. It's still in an early stage, but looks quite promising for doing interactive stuff.

I wanted to mention also bqplot.
Manuel Kirchen and I saw a presentation on it yesterday, and the level of interactivity that you have with the plots is really amazing.
