We only really care about /tmp MFS which is also useful for normal installations, slowly deprecating the need to MFS /var as well.

For sane backwards compat, the new option should be for tmp-only while the other still covers both.

The main point for this is that firmware updates and logs are pushed to /var and they should live on after boot unless we're on nano style images, where the previous behaviour matters.
