Describe the bug
Android 14 has added an option to change the clockfaces for the lock screen in the wallpaper app (I'm on a Pixel 8). If I change the clock face, the wallpaper freezes and becomes a still image. This issue persists even if I reapply the wallpaper and restart the phone.

The only way to fix the issue is by clearing the cache and storage in Settings.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open the default wallpaper app
  2. Change the clockface
  3. The wallpaper is now frozen

Expected behavior
The wallpaper should continue to animate even after a clockface change.

Usage information (please complete the following):

  • Device: Pixel 8
  • OS: Android 14
  • Version 5.6.1

Thank you for this amazing app! The animated icons for each setting are a nice touch :)

Hi, thanks for the compliment! Glad someone notizes the extra work with the icons :)
I cannot reproduce it on my Pixel 6, but I think the cause is that the wallpaper preview in the clock settings launches another wallpaper engine and the duplicate causes issues... I still need some time with a big update of my metronome app, so I hope I can fix it in the next version of Doodle!
