That is not the case. Depending on whether or not the sites framework is used, it will return all providers active for the current site.
That should also not be the case. You either configure an app in the settings, or in the database, but not both. Possible, the above holds in your case as the provider list is empty. Can you check if you're using the sites framework? |

I have
django-allauth
setup and working with social accounts using theSOCIALACCOUNT_PROVIDERS
dict insettings.py
.From reading the docs, and guides online this seems to be supported functionality.
get_providers
produces an empty list[]
.settings.py
--get_providers
returns what it should, and Google OAuth works as expected.It sounds like I'll just have to specify values in
settings.py
, and that will be my workaround for now, but docs/guides seem to say it's possible to use only the database values 🤔FWIW I'm using
django-cookiecutter
