Short Description

For me, Top-down Enumeration means "A maze with crossroads, with a brilliant gemstone in the center".

Long Description (up to 3 sentences)

At each stage of top-down enumeration, we generate larger programs by taking finite number of crossroads from one program, according to the given grammar, just as we find our way through a maze. If we face a ground program, but the program does not satisfy the given specification, we have reached a dead end in a maze, so we have to go back and try other crossroads. If we have enough time, we can find a ground program that satisfy our needs, expressed as a brilliant gemstone in the painting.
