For me, program synthesis by representation-based search means a cook learning how to cook from multiple same type of different dishes with lists of ingredients in a room filled with binary digits.

Long Description (up to 3 sentences)

The representation-based search is one of the strategies used in program synthesis where it derives the set of desired programs from the given representations of the program. If the syntax is the cooking, the cook in the photo represents the program synthesis itself. When representations are given as inputs(list of ingredients) and outputs(dishes), the cook will learn, intersect, and cook the desired program.
