How do you run the program?

Hello,
I am trying to get the code running but there is no clarity on how to run the program. I have built the code using make and the executables are in the builds folder.
Running ./sqct --help does nothing.
Reading the main.cpp file and the print_help function gives an idea that we need a .txt file with the form val, nx,ny,nz,[iter]. But making the file and then running
./sqct --gen in.txt gives the error: unsupported request type:0.5,0,0,1,100

Any help would be appreciated.
