Just have fun here! Write code and play with robots!

Buy a Raspberry Pi and microSD card.

Install an Operating System on microSD card.

Get a mouse, keyboard, monitor ready. Power on Pi!

Connect to wireless network or wired network.

Install prerequisite packages.
- Open a terminal. If you are not familiar with LINUX environment, check this.
- Type in:
sudo apt-get update
- Type in:
sudo apt-get gcc make git

Clone the package
- In the terminal, type in:
git clone git@github.com:xipengwang/X.git robotX
- In the terminal, type in:

Compile the code
- In the terminal, type in:
cd robotX && make

If you compile the code on a raspberry pi, you should change Build.common file. Change
rm-linux-gnueabi-gcc
togcc
,arm-linux-gnueabi-ar
toar
. - If you compile the code on a laptop running linux, you can install cross-compiler. Then send binary files to the Pi. Here are the instructions.
