How can we capture the image with ay applied filter in this demo?

Convert your JPEG capture to Bitmap first before applying GPUImage.

The CameraX team is actively working on an effects API for applying effects output efficiently. Please see: https://developer.android.com/reference/androidx/camera/core/CameraEffect
