#Returning to stock firmware

  1. Download stock firmware from http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT1900AC . I recommend release [ 1.1.8.164461] (http://www.protechs-online.com/downloads/FW_WRT1900AC_1.1.8.164461_prod.img)
  2. Login to the WRT1900AC web UI
  3. Select the 'System' Tab, and then 'Backup / Flash Firmware' tab
  4. In the 'Flash new firmware image' section click the 'choose file' button and select your firmware 1.Click 'flash image'

If you don't have the USB to TTL cable for firmware recovery you should always flash OpenWRT from the Linksys firmware. This will place the Linksys firmware in the alternate image for manual recovery as shown in this Wiki page Manually switch to previous firmware. In this case it's best to switch back and forth for OpenWRT firmware flashing.
