How to use

This repository comes along with an annex and is best used using Datalad rather than git. For details, see Datalad's handbook: [https://handbook.datalad.org/en/latest/index.html]

  1. Install datalad on your computer: [https://handbook.datalad.org/en/latest/intro/installation.html]

  2. To clone the repository, run (all one line)

    datalad install --source https://github.com/DigitalCarleton/carcas.git --recursive

  3. To get a local copy of all the models and posters, (from within the carcas directory) run datalad get carcas-models

  4. To get a local copy of just one model, specify the path to that model rather than the path to the entire folder after datalad get.

  5. I recommend VSCode's "Live Server" extension for viewing the models locally, along with any changes you make to the code. Install the extension, then activate the extension by clicking "Go Live!" in the bottom right of the window when you have one of the html files open in the editor.

To see all the models, either go to the CARCAS website: https://www.carleton.edu/carcas/ Or just the models: https://3dviewer.sites.carleton.edu/carcas/html-files/
