1.12.2 Crashes on Startup. Modpack - RLCraft #3253
Comments
Hopefully this doesn't backfire and fixes the problems we've been seeing. See: MultiMC/Launcher#3253
Not sure if you ever figured out what the problem was, but I was having the same issue trying to run RLCraft at first and then found that even if I started a new instance and just added Forge and any version of Optifine, it would still do the same thing. Turns out, it is the version of Java that is installed. You will need to run an older version of Java. You are currently running jre1.8.0_261 and I have found that jre1.8.0_199 works perfectly. You will need to use the following codes to uninstall your current version: Then you'll need to acquire the older version of java which can be found at: Scroll down until you find "Java SE Runtime Environment 8u191". You'll have to register for a free account to download the file I believe, but it should fix your issue |
Well that sucks, but I really do appreciate the comment. I've been waiting over 3 weeks for a reply and I finally have a diagnosis to the problem. Thank you. |
i can not make an account on Oracle because i am just a regular minor (17), i do not work in a company and i do not have a credit card or anything similar. how can i get JRE 8U191 then? i think i have the same problem and i really want to try Minecraft with mods/modifications since i could not do that on Mincraft Pocket Edition. i have already tried searching for a useful download and could not find any good sources. and also on a side-note, i guess i should apologize if i may seem a bit weird by my typing; i basically got the PC i am currently using right now just some days ago and so i can not really type as i want. |
is there any for windows? |
