Image variants would be helpful to train more generalized driving models from a limited image set. The variants should include.

Horizontal flips. (also need to reverse steering angel)
Gradient equalization.
Brightness
Saturation
Contrast
Vertical clipping (to avoid non essential cues when following lines)
