CURRENT BEHAVIOUR:

The Apprentice Angler quest, part of the Strangelthorn Fishing Extravaganza, rewards too much gold.
More specifically, it rewards 1g 90s per turn in.

EXPECTED BLIZZLIKE BEHAVIOUR:

The reward is supposed to scale based on the character current level.
According to wowpedia it should reward 23s from levels 1-60.
(Edit: i'm not sure what the amount is supposed to be, apparently it scales all throughout levels 1 to 60

But it's still rather clear that the reward should be less than 1g 90s).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:

1. Trigger event or wait for it to trigger on its own
2. Fish 5 Speckled Tastyfish
3. Turn in

The 1g 90s reward should be for level 80.
I haven't tried this in my local server, but after asking another player they suggested the issue might be that as level 29 is the current cap, the server might be assuming we are max level (80) and giving that reward instead.

Some comments from the TBC days about this scaling reward.

I can't find any definitive information regarding the reward from the rare fish turn in quests. But they reward the same amount as Master Angler.
I would be inclined to believe the reward scales similarly for those three quests.
Rare turn in quests:
Rare Fish - Keefer's Angelfish
Rare Fish - Brownell's Blue Striped Racer
Rare Fish - Dezian Queenfish

I didn't win Master Angler :( so I could not check the reward from that quest.
Lastly, the event starts at 3pm server time, it should start at 2pm. Maybe related to daylight saving time.
