The v0.1 mileston aims to provide a subset of functionalities required to run cachegrand and perform basic operations on the cache via the redis protocol.

One of the most important functionalities missing will be the garbage collector which will be implemented in the v0.2 or v0.3.

Although this missing functionality will prevent cachegrand from being used for anything apart brief tests and benchmarking it's important to keep in mind that cachegrand aims to deliver extremely high performance and therefore implementing a garbage collector able to do not affect the cache performances will be a time consuming effort which will require a fair amount of R&D.
