Unable to startFlowsServer in Google Cloud Functions Project with Emulator

I need help resolving the following issue where a port is already in use.

My main index.ts file contains a Google Cloud Function and the startFlowsServer

startFlowsServer();

I attempt to start the emulator with the following command

GENKIT_ENV=dev firebase emulators:start --inspect-functions --only functions,database

This results in a address already in use error

If I remove the startFlowsServer() function then the Cloud Function starts up fine.

Sorry for the late response (back from vacation!)
You should not be using startFlowsServer when using Cloud Function for Firebase. Cloud Function for Firebase spin up their own HTTP server, use onFlow instead -- https://firebase.google.com/docs/genkit/flows#cloud_function_for_firebase

Thanks for your reply.
It seems that my project does not use startFlowsServer. I am having trouble setting up the project environment. Other members using linux operating system do not have this error. I am currently using Macbook M3. The required versions are installed correctly. Below is the error description when running npm run serve:nobuild
I tried to fix the "socket hang up" error following the instructions here but it didn't work.
