Also, you could update the link in the https://github.com/google/snappy description field from https://code.google.com/p/snappy/ to https://google.github.io/snappy/

I have another question which I'm asking here because there are no 'Issues' on github/google/snappy:

I'm adding CMake support to snappy. Let me know if you're willing to accept a PR about this.

Hi,

Thanks for your PR. The README has been changed independently, so I'm closing this.

I'm not particularly interested in pet changes to the build system—everybody has their favorite, and as an end user, I find CMake's UI horrible. :-)

The commit 8bfb028 (Improve zippy decompression speed) introduce a crash
when snappy is compiled with _FORTIFY_SOURCE with musl libc. Backtrace
reveals that it it comes from using memcpy with overlap, which is
undefined behavior.

We avoid the undefined behavior due to memcpy with overlap by using a
temporary uint64_t.
