About Us

Kafkoders is an organization or group of friends that enjoy Data Science and Artificial Intelligence willing to improve every day. Kafkoders was founded in January 2019 before the Google Hashcode 2019 started as all of its members were close friends and some of them were working together. The main intention when creating Kafkoders was to create a team in order to compete in Hackathons or Challenges, anyways the team decided to be more than just a coding team, so they decided to also write stories on Medium about their research, contribute to open source repositories, etc. and try to help or teach others about Data Science and AI.

Achievements

Kafkoders first Hackathon was the Google Hashcode 2019 where they sent the first submission of Salamanca (participating from the everis Hub) and finished 3277th on the Online Qualification Round. They did not compete as expected, but they wanted to improve since they enjoyed the competition a lot, which encouraged them to keep on competing as a team. As some of them were still finishing their Computer Engineering Bachelor, they could not compete together until NASA SpaceApps Challenge 2019. In the NASA Challenge new members came to Kafkoders so that they end up classified for the international round as Global Nominees after winning in Salamanca the local one. Currently they are training and preparing theirselves for the Google Hashcode 2020 challenge where they want to improve their past performance since now they are more a team than before.
