Note that you may need to specify the complete path to qmake 5.5, if your system has a previous version. For example:
/home/kostis/Qt_openSource/5.5/gcc_64/bin/qmake && make && make install
The compiled plugin (libqtknobsplugin.so on .nix systems) would be in directory imports/QtKnobs with file qmldir.
The first window that pops when the application is first launched
After the camera selection window, the user is presented with the main application window. This is how the main GUI window looks when camera contectivity has been successfully established. In the bottom of the panel there is a toolbar ribbon that contains the following buttons (left to right):
- Show/hide stage control window
- Play/pause image stream
- Capture image. By pressing this button a directory selection dialog window pops, where the user specifies where the image shall be saved. The format used is bmp.
- Maximize/minimize size. Maximized, the size is 1288 x 964. Minimized is half.
- Show/hide camera settings window.
This how the main GUI window looks if:
- Connection to the camera fails
- The user pressed Cancel / Closed the Camera Selection Window
From this screen the user can only access the stage related parameters, by clicking on the toolbar ribbon’s leftmost button.

By clicking on the toolbar ribbon’s leftmost button the following window pops. The user has still visual/functional access to the main camera display window.
After clicking the Connect to Stage button, the GUI attempts to connect to the sensor tag located on the stage. So far, that sensor tag’s parameters are hardwired. The process takes some time, since we are doing a full LE scan.
After successfull connection to the sensor tag the stage control window becomes like this: (This will change overtime, to provide more functionallity)
