To unblock you can add this to your user settings: "python.experiments.optOutFrom": ["pythonTerminalEnvVarActivation"],

After adding this setting: "python.experiments.optOutFrom": ["pythonTerminalEnvVarActivation"],, although 'Reactivating terminals' disappeared, the python extension still did not work properly.

@DonJayamanne looks like a case pet is failing to resolve micromamba. I need to see why it is blocking the rest of the flow.

Does the following file exist on disc /Users/koko/micromamba/envs/Research/bin/python?
Can you run the following in the terminal and share the full output
/home/arc/.vscode-server/extensions/ms-python.python-2024.16.1-linux-x64/python-env-tools/bin/pet find -l

@karthiknadig I do not believe this is a bug in Pet, This is most likely an empty conda env,
Also Python extension doesn't yet support micromamba #20919
There are no regular conda activation scripts for these, etc.
Its most likely this conda env is returned without a Python env.
