Proposal for Case Tagging

  • N means nominative OR vocative with nominative form
  • A means unambiguously accusative
  • V means specifically vocative form
  • C means nominative or accusative (or vocative) syncretism
  • G means unambiguously genitive
  • D means unambiguously dative

Do we need something for syncretism between dative and genitive?

UPDATE: In IE studies, NAV are sometimes called strong cases and GD weak. I'm wondering if C should be changed to S and we use W for the dative-genitive syncretism.
