There were incremental changes over the past two years mostly to address complexities in the study table generation. However the current version of the pipeline is too fragmented and needs to be synchronised with other parts of the release infrastructure (eg. consistent use of pyspark for scalability). This release marks a beginning of a rewrite effort to address this issue.
